Could a family member or friend benefit from a Support Worker?
Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire - but at present able to cover Hertfordshire if needed.
Offering evening and weekend visits at present - **£12 an hour** (for 100 days only - which will then increase to £15 an hour once promotion ends).
- In possession of an Enhanced DBS.
- Confidential service.
- Previous experience in supporting families and new parents.
- Advanced knowledge in supporting individuals with mild/moderate/severe sensory loss.
- First Class Honours Degree in Psychology.
- Ability to refer your family member/friend to the required organisations / charities to obtain additional support.
- Ability to find groups or support groups in the individuals' local area.
- Abilty to offer 'Access to Work' support.
- Ability to offer independent support.
Duties I can cover:
- Visit to keep your family member / friend company on days where they may not see anyone.
- Short visits - to check the individual is coping / has eaten / has drunk / has taken medication / is content.
- Shopping (with or without the individual).
- Dropping off and collecting the individual from groups / events.
- Support with parenting.
- Supporting families - with support, information etc...
